4. Elongated Soft Palate: Common in short muzzled breeds, ESP is the obstruction of the dogs’ airways. ESP can be corrected through surgery.
This is something that affects many breeds with a short muzzles. But the good news is that although they're genetically pre-dispositioned for this disorder, it is something your vet can assess and fix with surgery if necessary.
On the following page we'll reveal another defect that affects your Pugs breathing.

Pug Dog encephalitis is 100% fatal- so please don’t be mislead that there is a cure for that one. Heartbreaking but true.

Love my Lola Mae, and she’s always been a beauty. The vets just love her because I don’t let her get fat. They did notice a little PK in her eye last time though. Just small, and they said to watch but that it doesn’t seem to be bothering her or creating any issue at this point. She’s 10, and usually still acts like a goofy puppy!

Loved my Ziggy. He had bladder stones and we had three extensive surgeries in a year. He was put on Royal Canin. SO and bottled water as well. He still got them after all of that and started throwing up black stuff and or vet had to put him down. She said it was probably due to inbreeding. He was only 4 1/2

Love my pugs. However, Brigit does have bladder crystal problems and vision issues. She is my baby girl and we deal with it.
