Some Pugs understand quite a bit. In had one Pug who knew the name of all his toys. Just ask him and he would go to the toy basket and get it. The one I have now will go to the door and wait for my kids when I tell him they are coming. I have had four Pugs and each one has been different but Pugs are awesome
