Little dogs, mediums-sized dogs and even big dogs all want affection! Some may be lap dogs, but even those pooches who have tough jobs like duck hunting or work for the police department need a squeeze from time to time!

Can you blame them?

Researchers say most dogs, even as adults, have the mental capacity of a two and a half-year-old child. Now, I don’t know about you, but we know a few two to three-year-olds that usually do not want to be shown warmth from their parents. In fact, they may run the other direction. LOL!

Remember, as the head of the household, you are that alpha and your pup looks up to you for guidance and love. In other words, give that pooch a hug and watch him or her react. Hopefully, he'll enjoy it as much as you do!
