“We saw him in at the shelter and just had to bring him home!”

There are a lot of reasons for bringing a second dog into your peaceful household. Maybe he or she was too cute to pass up or perhaps you were thinking another pooch would be great companionship for your original dog while you are at work and/or school. That a good thing, right?

Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Sometimes a pampered pooch, who has been with you and your family for a long period of time, having been overindulged and much loved, can be a little territorial. More so if said dog has not been socialized with other dogs.

What the two critters need is a smooth, easy conversion. Sometimes that is easier said than done. On page two we are going to give you a few tips and tricks on how to accomplish a semi-friendly and hopefully tolerant transition from a one dog to two dog family.
