Oh no…the vet?! When your dog realizes they're on their way to see the vet, their facial expression change immediately. Can you blame them? They're about to head to a place with cold metal tables and the dreaded thermometer! Yes, they usually get treats. But sometimes the discomfort outweighs the ploy of a yummy snack.

So how can you make your pups experience at the vet more enjoyable?

For starters you can give them a lot of attention and love that day. Giving out a few treats before you go is huge! You don't want to over do it (don't give them a stomach ache) but having some dog friendly snacks before your visit, during your visit and after the visit will help add some reassurance throughout the appointment that they're gonna be just fine. It also serves as a distraction!

Sure, your pooch may still be nervous, but how you care for them before, during and after can help make their experience better.
