There's no doubt about it; Pugs are an easy dog breed to love. Now only that, but they are incredible at showing their owners and everyone else how much love they have to give in return.
If you're considering getting another Pug or are thinking about becoming a first time Pug owner, you may or may not know that Pugs enjoy being the center of attention. In other words — they are the life of the party.
These small dogs have a big personality, and when it comes to greeting larger dogs, a size difference does not phase them. They likely will just want to play or let the bigger dog know they're in charge! Haha!
This playful and smart breed takes a lot of responsibility and if we're honest, can be a lot of work. Anxiety may be an issue for your furry Pug friend and to manage it naturally they would love it if you're around all of the time, but if that's not possible do your best to give them a lot of love and attention when you're there by their side.
If you decide to bring a Pug into your family, you better be ready to laugh a lot! Expect some antics as a Pug loves being the center of attention. But with laughter comes responsibility, which is why there are some realities you must accept about your Pug.
If you don't have a Pug why wait? They are the perfect fur children and will become best friends with your human children too.
After the break, we will shed some light on some important factors you need to accept about your Pug. Don't allow these factors to scare you away from owning a Pug, however. A Pug is worthy of love because your Pug will give you just as much love (if not more) in return!

I have two Pugs right now .. & two have have crossed The Rainbow Bridge. ALL have DIFFERENT Personalities. I had just about EVERY dog & Pet you can imagine growing up. But with my FIRST PUG … it was LOVE, LOVE, LOVE !! They CAN be STUBBORN, they INSIST on being into EVERYTHING !! I NEVER close a door in the House .. When company comes over the Puggies want to know WHY the Bathroom door is CLOSED !! They Snore, Snort & it is MUSIC to My Ears !! But Not to everyone. They NEED their Humans & are LOVING. They do NOT Jog, & need to be in a “Controlled” Temp. Can NOT get OverHeated !!! Would NOT trade My PUGS for ANYONE or ANYTHING.

My lady pug was a shelter rescue — at around 9 yrs. old her legs stopped working well and needed a diaper until she was about 12 when she passed. She was hilarious and sweet and I miss her so much .

So true. Number 2 is happening right now she’s going toe to toe with Darbs. She is not backing down at all. The same behavior with the paws and licking is identical to Darby’s. You can totally see how Bulldogs originated from Pugs.

I’ve had dogs all my life, and getting a pug was a huge adjustment. They are more than dogs. They require a lot of attention, and you’ll all be happier if they get it!
