We have a very happy story today where a pilfered pooch was found meandering the streets of Lancashire, nearly two hundred miles away from where he was stolen – after a whole year away from home!
Life can take tricky turns. Can you imagine Mrs. Ling’s amazement when the manager at Oakmount Veterinary Centre called to say her pup was found — after being lost for a year?!
“She was just absolutely elated,” she said.
“She asked if she could set off straight away to come and collect her, but because of the distance we decided it would be best for her to come the following day.
“It was a very emotional reunion.”
Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate the theft, which also saw Nellie's mother taken from Mrs Ling's secure garden.
No one really knows how Nellie ended up in the area where she was found, but pugs are very popular in Norwich and the surrounding areas.
We are SO pleased that this cute pug was returned to the loving arms of her worried owner. To learn more go to BBC News.
All dogs should be microchipped. A missing pooch that goes lost and then is found could be your own!
