We already know that dogs have an incredibly keen sense of smell. They sniff at everything during a walk, causing their owner to get annoyed at times because a pup parent wants them to be done with their business already. Come on, even if you're a dog lover you know this to be true!

So why on earth are dogs so interested in each other's backside?

When dogs try to sniff a human's butt, they're often me with a “no!” and gently pushed away. But when a pooch sniffs another dog's butt it's only natural. You would think we would get upset at our dog for letting them sniff another pooch's rear end, but we know it's just a part of their meet and greet!
