
You LOVE your dog. They're sweet to you, energetic, and awesome. But around other people, not so much. Maybe they're just being protective. A little growl here and there. But hey, as long as no one invades your personal space, “Max” is on his best behavior.
Sure, you can't take him to dog parks. But who likes those kind of places anyway? Walking him in public places makes you anxious because you never know how he'll react, so you always leave him at home when those situations arise. But then one day, out of the blue, “Max” does the unthinkable. He bites someone. You don't know why it happened, or what triggered it (we're certainly not here to judge), but one thing is very certain: some serious legal issues need to be addressed.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention state, with regard to dog bites, that a large number of people are brought in for medical treatment every year and many of them are children. While it is true that few of the attacks are fatal there is still grave cause for concern. As the dog owner are you in trouble?
