Every day organizations tirelessly work to rescue dogs. Some take care of abandoned doggies until they find their forever home and others act as foster parents that care for pooches as well.
Other groups invest their lives to save dogs' lives too. For example, groups help people suffering from PTSD by pairing them with a pooch that's trained to help them through the difficult time.
Today you'll learn about a group called Paws for Life from Karma Rescue that pairs dogs that are in need of training with inmates that have a death sentence.
The inmates get to spend time with the pooches and the dogs get trained in the process. It's a healing experience for both parties, and the inmates can feel great knowing that afterward the doggies can find a forever home.
Whereas the dogs and inmates may feel hopeless prior to meeting and working together, when paired together they become hopeful. This touching organization is touching lives and will continue to do so.
After the break, learn more about this incredible organization and how “un-trainable” pooches are getting a second chance.
