Adopted German Shepherd Saves Little Girl and in the Process Gets Bit by a Rattlesnake

Sick Shepherd

Haus is not the first dog to show such courage and curiosity and he will not be the last! But for this Florida family, he is an absolute hero!

Molly and her grandmother were in the backyard when Haus stood in front of them by the bushes, staring at something. But when they saw blood, they knew something was wrong. The pup had positioned himself between Molly and a rattlesnake, taking the bites that might have killed her or her grandma. He was bitten three times on the leg, but he refused to back down. Haus’s family rushed the hero dog to the vet, but he was in rough shape.

Poor Haus was injected so much venom he needed an anti-venom IV drip! Thankfully, Haus was strong and had a will to live. He knew his family was waiting and he did not want to disappoint them. He made a full recovery!

Predictably, the vet bills were incredibly high and thanks to a GoFundMe page they raised enough to take care of those bills with a little left over for a generous donation to the animal shelter Haus came from!

A fine example of what goes around comes around. Thank you, Haus and his wonderful family! To read more about this inspirational story, visit Dog Time.
