Summer is here and so are pool days! So grab your sunscreen, towel, and your pooch and have a great time enjoying your day out at your pool!
In case you thought you were the only one who could lounge around on a floaty in the pool and dive deep underwater, you're wrong. Fido can do it too!
On a serious note, the pool is a great place to teach your pooch how to swim. If he's young and hasn't experienced the water yet, get him used to the water slowly. You don't want him to be frightened of the water so work him up to it gradually.
It's very important to make sure he knows how to swim because if you take him out for potty in the yard you don't want him accidentally falling in! If he does when he goes outside on his own he needs to know how to get to the edge of the pool.
