5 Things Dog Owners Do That Stress Their Dogs Out

Sure your pooch can stress you out and even drive you bonkers sometimes, but have you ever considered that you could be stressing your pooch out too?

Your dog is far from perfect, and neither are you. In fact, it's important to realize that you should be patient with your pooch, especially if they're not trained or you have high expectations. It's always important to be realistic.

If your pooch is only trained to do simple commands but you expect them to adhere to more difficult commands… then you need to cut your pooch a little slack. They aren't going to figure out what you want them to do on her own. They also need you to be patient. Your frustration and disappointment with your pooch during a training session can make them feel intimidated and can impair their understanding.

If all else fails, place yourself in your pup's shoes (or should we say paws?) and ask yourself how you'd feel. It's very possible you're the one causing your pooch stress and not the other way around.
