When an Adorable Pug Has to Go to the Bathroom in the Snow, THIS Happens…

pug in the snow

We’ve stated before that life is tough on a dog.

Others disagree, asserting how a cherished pooch is spoiled with her dog bed, snacks, and unconditional love. True that. However, for those dogs that live in cooler climates, in the eastern region of the USA where there is snow, even the simplest thing – like relieving themselves – is a chore.

It is not as if a dog has the luxury of a bathroom with plumbing. They still need that walk or the ability just to run outside to do their business; and when the snow is up to a human’s hip that makes it hard on dogs.

Particularly if they are a smaller pup like a pug.

On the second page take a look at this comical but also somewhat poignant video of a precious pug who's just trying to take a potty break – in the snow.

And you thought you had problems!

  1. Just gonna throw out some points to you to think this is soo cruel; A: it’s a good thing this pug does indeed have fur to help keep his body temp. Normal, oh and the fact that it does Indeed get cold first before it snows, you know to help.him acclimate to the cold weather, and a little.lesson that takes an average of 14 days for that to happen to be completed. So I’m pretty sure he will okay with that. And further more you crazies, do you even know how long it takes an average animal to “freeze to death” or even be cold enough for them to have actual physical harm to this animal? Guarantee it’s wasn’t the whopping 1.5 minutes he was out there. Oh and BTW if you really want to know what is.actually wrong with this video, why don’t you look at the weight of the dog instead of the 1.5 minutes In the snow. Now that’s cruel. And insensitive jerk to this guy??? Really?? Do you have the slightest idea where the canine derived from and why they are built the way they were??? No? I thought so.. that’s what happens when overly sensitive people don’t let their animals cherish their heritage and where they come from. Joseph Paris my monsters and I have your back! Booya

  2. My pug HATES going outside to do his business in the rain, is it cruel that I make him? Not to mention, in the snow, he intentionally sticks his whole face in, but I guess it’s mean that I let him. Lighten up!

  3. Lets all pretend that we can anticipate our pets action before the action is performed, so we can pad the world. The dog needed to go out… it tried to go down the steps & face planted in the snow… OMG! THE HORROR! I can’t even believe the responses to this. I love my dog as much as I love my kid, and both of them have had some funny “oops” moments. I guess I’m a bad parent on both fronts because I have the audacity to laugh when they happen.

  4. Yeah, just lighten up Donna. It’s snow, not sulphuric acid. How about you worry about the scumbags out there in this world who do REAL cruelty to pugs and other beautiful pets/animals. Save your phony indignation for them.

  5. People are way too sensitive. The puggy wasn’t harmed, he got a little snow on him. I’m sure he came right back in after doing his business and snuggled with his humans. You folks need to save your misplaced righteous indignation for people who do REAL HARM to pugs and other animals. This video isn’t it.

  6. Poor baby. We’ll be moving up to Big Bear in a week and I will be getting a Pug puppy in the Spring. With my Chug Buster I shoveled snow so he could go potty. He likes the snow. But this poor baby.
