[VIDEO] Who Knew Pugs Were Expert Swimmers? Watch And See!

Swimming is such a refreshing sport, especially when it's warm outside. When you were young you might have taken swimming lessons which included learning how to dive. Diving can be fun as long as you don't get water up your nose!

Most dogs don't like swimming let alone diving. But today you're going to watch a very special pup that not only likes to swim, but he likes to dive too! I'm not sure how he mastered this skill, but you have to watch him in action on the next page.

Keep in mind that diving takes a lot of dedication and skill to master it correctly, even for a dog. If you don't tilt your body just right you can end up belly flopping or worse, get a lot of water up your nose like I mentioned before. If that happens it hurts a lot, which is why it's important to learn how to dive the right way!

  1. Pugs are not very good swimmers. The short snout makes it harder to keep the nose above the water. The folds on their face need to be kept dry, also their ears, these sites are prone to infections. Pugs were bred to be lap dogs, but that leaves a few negative trade offs.
