Honestly, our own dog does the same chewing and licking of the back paw thing too. We do not understand it either. If it’s dog cleaning ritual it IS truly odd!
Still, all the things the pug does above, we feel, can hardly be called weird. He is simply doing doggy things in a puggy way.
Okay, it may be slightly weird but we're not complaining!

Our pugs have done every single one of these things!! Pugs are so, so awesome. Quirky, whimsical clown-dogs. As I was watching your pug snore, my pug came over and watched the computer screen. They’re kindred spirits. You have a beautiful pug there. Don’t you feel like telling pugs that chasing their little cinnamon bun tails is an exercise in futility? Something tells me that they’d do it anyway. 🙂

Does anyone else have a pug that notices immediately on TV when there’s another dog kitty or critter on? Ours does and he watches until the animal is gone.
