In these up and coming summer months, we will be more than ready to eat cool weather foods. There will be the salad, ice cream, cold lemonade and a typical Fourth of July snack, watermelon!

Big slabs of watermelon were always a must for our family. We would shoot off fireworks, watch the ones brighten the night sky, while slurping on our huge wedges of juicy sweetness – then spit out the seeds!

But water about our doggies? They want to join in too and – sure — we would toss a portion of said watermelon to the pooch, and he’d enjoy it as much as us!

After the break, watch a very bright little Frenchie who has another way of eating the melon. For him, it makes perfect sense, and we applaud his ingenuity!
