They’re now a meme that has its very own league. One reason is that the large variety of colors, sizes and textures.

Just like the Case with cat beards, this meme follows pretty much the same instructions of tilting the pet’s head upward in order to cover your face.

Drool and wet hair could be a great touch, but syncing all the parts and taking care of all the factors in a dog beard is what will give it a distinguished look.
