Is Your Dog Nipping Or Play Biting? REAL Tips That Help!

From the moment you bring your dog home he's impressionable just like a human child. It's up to you to instill positive habits such as letting your pooch know whether he's allowed on the furniture or not. Additional training includes teaching him to play nice and not chew on furniture.

A doggy will likely be very playful when she's young, unless she's a rather docile dog. Most pups do have a great deal of energy and need a way to use this energy in a positive way. You can teach your pup to chew on a chew toy or find a bone that you have strategically placed nearby.

This is much better than playing with your hand which can be confused with a toy and in the process her teeth can hurt you. If she does start to mouth you (in other words bites on your hand too hard) you need to let her know right away by saying “ouch!” or another word that'll get her attention.
