Sometimes on a hot day, nothing sounds better than a bowl of tasty ice cream to cool off. But this always creates a dilemma. There we are, licking the cone or spoon in tastebud heaven while our poor devoted pooch stares up at us with their dewy brown eyes wondering when their turn will come.

It is so very tempting to give “Rover” a bite, but as we've learned from researchers, “people” ice cream is NOT good for dogs.

So what's the alternative? Of course we can give them water and a few treats – this is completely acceptable! But sometimes it's nice to break things up with a cool treat we know they'll enjoy and something that will also cool them down.
