Are Caesar Millan’s Dog Training Methods SAFE? See What Critics Are Claiming….

If you haven't heard of Cesar Millan then you're living under a rock, and if you do know all about him you probably really like him or hate him. Okay, hate is a strong word — but many people strongly dislike his methods and it leaves us to question his training methods. Are they safe or not?

We'll leave it up to you to decide, but most of the debate lies in Cesar approach. Some argue that perhaps he uses too much aggressiveness to put a dog in his place through force, i.e.  choke collars. Whereas others argue the opposite, stating there are many positive methods that Cesar Millan teaches dog owners everywhere, and that we should all be wary of the not so positive reviews he receives.

If Cesar Millan's training methods are considered safe, why is there a warning advisory on his TV show? Learn more about the controversy on the following page!

  1. I agree with Caesar Millan that dogs need a strong and confident leader … dogs are a lot like children, you need to establish rules and stick with them … at the same time you also need to reward good behavior and show them that you love them … some dogs just like children need a little stronger hand than others, it all depends on the individual … I have not seen Caesar do anything to harm a dog

  2. I’ve used everything I learned from his show, and it’s made my dog into my best friend, he knows rules, he knows commands and wasn’t phased at all by any harsh treatment he deserved, but i always make sure he knows I’m his snuggle buddy.

  3. I think his methods are safe and easy to follow for most people and most dogs. As with anything, there are exceptions. Red zone dogs are not for amateurs and do need a professional trainer at times to help. His biggest benefit is teaching people how to work with their dogs. Many of the issues dog owners face could be eliminated if they learn to first choose a dog whose temperament fits their lifestyle and enroll in obedience cl$#%&!@*es.
