Pug excited to eat

Dogs down through the ages have had ways of letting their masters know when they are hungry.

In the Stone Age, they might have simply gone out to get their food and dragged it kicking and screaming home to their comfy cave. Later, they might have stared rapturously as a beast was being rotated on a spit while a tune like “Green Sleeves” was being played by the palace minstrels.

And even later, it was the wide-eyed stare up at Mrs. Brown; While she squealed with delight at her new electric can opener her dog was thrilled at the idea of the canned dog food she was going to open for him with it!

While panting and barking for joy at the thought of breakfast or lunch was never unheard of, it took a while for a dog to truly make his or her demands known.

But now, in our age of remote controls, iPads ©, and hands-free can openers, a dog has to be a bit more verbal. After all, we humans are distracted by all this new-fangled technology and if a dog is going to be heard she better make it count.

Go over to page two and watch a video of one inventive Pug who allows her larynx to express her pleasure at finally getting something good to eat!
