Having a well-trained pooch is worth its weight in gold. Our dogs are already our best friends but when they are well behaved, take commands, and do so without hesitation, we are not just satisfied but proud to show them off to our friends, family, and acquaintances.
A great many pet owners fear that the act of training turns them into a monster of some kind, causing their dog to be fearful of them. And, in one sense, that may be true if training gets done the wrong way.
However, if you are patient and persistent, it has nothing to do with force, but you are showing your doggy that you are, indeed, the alpha of your household.
The video on page two, between a happy, well-trained pug and his master is an outstanding and superb demonstration of how to teach your dog simple tricks and good behavior. Seriously, I think I'll use some of these methods on my own pooch!

Give that pug some water and never use a leather collar for training!

In my opinion, he would flinch when being told no or redirected like he had been hit on the head and he seemed hot/ thirsty.

That’s what I got out of it too. Looks like he expected to be hit. And the poor baby needed a drink! Did anyone else think his collar looked too tight??

You should use a harness for pugs because of their breathing.

This pug is definitely scared of the owner you can see that on the chair, he was scared of the hand of the owner, because I bet they were hitting him. :'( Let dogs be in their nature, if they can’t live free on the streets anymore cause of human nature destruction, let them at least live how they want to live! And if a pug does not respond so well to poop-training let them be, you want your house clean? Pick it up! (And yes of course you should walk to dog daily too!) <3
