How To Treat Food Aggression In Your Dog

From an early age your dog is taught how to eat. How they're fed and treated as a puppy will have an effect on them the rest of their life.

Researchers say most of their initial habits are formed from two to four months of age. This means if you get your pup at a young age, they're just beginning to form these habits, so it's a perfect time to start “good” habits.

However, if you observe your doggy demonstrating food guarding early on (or later in their life) you definitely want to take action. It's possible this may be part of their nature to be protective but it'll be up to you as their pet parent to teach them how to eat their food without being aggressive.
