How to Properly Socialize Your Pug Puppy

From the moment, a pug is born he is impressionable, just like that of a child. He observes his mom's, brother's, and sister's behaviors and also reacts to his settings. How a breed socializes their puppies from the ages three weeks to three months will have a significant influence on the rest of a puppy's life.

That's why it's important for you to get a pug from a reputable breeder. If you can visit the pug in his surroundings before you commit to purchasing him, then you'll be able to get a sense of how the breeder socializes puppies.

When you receive your puppy, you still need to take the time to socialize him. Take it slow and allow him to get used to his surroundings first. If you have a friend who has a pug or another breed, allow your pooch to get accustomed to that dog's presence before taking him to a dog park, for example.

Continue to bring your pup to new places and get him used to be around a variety of people. Do this while he's still little so he'll get used to being in public.
