Crate Training Causing Emotional Damage To Your Pooch? Signs Pet Owners Need To Be Aware Of

Poor pup! Some dogs just don't take well to being in a crate. And who blames them? They'd rather be snuggled up next to mom and dad as opposed to hanging out in their crate, right? Even though some dogs gravitate towards their crate and end up enjoying it once training has completed, there are some pups that can't get used to the concept or confinement of a crate. It doesn't mean they're a bad dog, it just means crate training isn't for them.

But how do you know if your pup is just exhibiting dislike as part of the learning curve in crate training or if crate training really isn't a good option for your fur child? Well, if you've been very patient throughout the crate training process and your dog is still being very honest with you by shaking in her crate, going to the bathroom in her crate, or destroying things in her crate, these are all signs that the crate is causing emotional pain and is not a safe place for your pup to be in.

On the next page we'll examine crate training more closely and share which signs pet owners should be aware of during the crate training process. The last thing you want to do is cause harm to your dog, right?
