One of the biggest mistakes a loving dog owner makes is not training their pooch well. Many want to spoil their pup like a child but when you do this you’re just asking for trouble. A well-trained dog is a happy and trouble-free dog!

It is important to remember that you are the alpha of your pack and what you say goes, not the other way around.

Now, how to avoid making mistakes with your dog can be tricky. When Rover looks up at you with those expressive brown eyes, you may feel he thinks you are cruel with your demands when, in reality, you are training him to live and work well in the environment around him. If that takes an occasional “No,” or a reward for good conduct, then we encourage you to do what is necessary.
