What kind of doggy do you own? Initially, chances were when you were deciding on what type of breed to own; you were debating between a purebred or a mixed pup. And if you adopted a pooch from the shelter he's most likely mixed even though occasionally purebreds get abandoned as well. Breeders are more apt to sell purebreds.
No matter what type of doggy is a part of your family today, mixed breeds are becoming more and more common. Mixed-breed pooches are called mutts, and they happen to make wonderful pets with great temperaments. Plus they are beautiful too!
If you do buy from a breeder (even though adopting a pooch is a great decision!), interestingly enough they may be selling a “designer pup.” As mentioned above, this is becoming more common!

My mom had a Chihuahua and I had a Pug. My kids wanted to breed them together… an call it the CHUG.
Absolutely not!! It would be just a MUTT!! An I’ll be dog-gone if someone else bred the two together.
People need to stop this…
My daughter bought a full blooded GSD… paid big bucks. At 8 months, she had him fixed. People said, you could of used him for stud service… She said, that’s not why I bought him. He is very loved!!

Seriously? Animals should not be the subjects of experiments or forced, unnatural alterations. Just love them as they come! That’s why there’s so many strays and abandoned dogs out there.

All breeds of dogs are because of human manipulation. Otherwise we would not have dogs as companions.

Aren’t there pugs in rescues and shelters that need homes? Why would someone entice ppl with this novelty?

Mixed breed dogs are listed in the shelters, go rescue one! Damn all dogs were bred to do or be some kind of work animal. Now they are pets and they breed to different breeds all the time because we do not spay and neuter! You want a mixed breed go to a shelter!!! There are tons there looming for responsible loving families.

This is horrible. I absolutely hate that Pugs or any other breeds are being mixed as this affects their personality and their health.

BTW, I have 2 pugs I rescued from a breeder because they were not able to produce or had the ‘right stuff’. I have had pound puppies all my life, or those pups no one wanted. I am not opposed to full bred dogs or breeding for the ‘right reasons (health issues correction, etc), it just breaks my heart to see all those fur babies in the shelter scared and frightened, unsure of their future.
