
There's no doubt about it. Most doggies love their food. They know exactly when it's dinner time and will let you know by standing near their food bowl or may even go so far as to move the bowl around until food is served. And if your Pug really loves her food she may also try other techniques to get your attention such as barking and begging.
Begging is very unbecoming for any pet, especially if they are larger. With most smaller dogs, you can ignore the behavior but that's not necessarily a good thing. Begging should not be taking place and there are some things you can implement to stop your Pug from staring at you with those big puppy-dog eyes.

It’s simple, really. When the dog begs at the dinner table, just DON’T give in! DON’T give them what they want! If that goes on long enough, they’ll get the message and stop begging.
