Having a dog who doesn't like being around new people or places can be challenging, especially if you're somewhat social. You may be afraid that your dog may lash out at new people by biting them, and that's a scary situation to have to deal with.

No one wants a pet that lunges and barks at people, but with some training and practice you should be able to prevent behavior like this.

It's important to note that yelling at your dog isn't going to solve the problem. In fact, it may make it worse.
